Sometimes, a client sends us a photo of a knotted line. A spark of an idea. Our job? Translate that spark into a wearable, manufacturable, premium eyewear design.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at our latest ODM journey 

Step 1: Decoding the Inspiration 

Our Korean client shared a reference image (pic 1) — a looped, knotted structure that hinted at tension, modularity, and connection. It wasn't a pair of glasses. It was a feeling. A mechanical logic.

Our design team broke it down: What makes this structure secure? How can this "loop" concept translate into a hinge, a clip, or a temple mechanism?

Step 2: Engineering the Concept 

This is where ODM truly begins. As shown in our technical drawing (the PDF), we mapped out every detail:

142.6mm frame width, 55.0mm lens width, 19.0mm bridge — precise ergonomics.

The 90° twisted temple wire  — a challenging structural twist that locks the hinge securely.

Metal clips & silicone temple tips — balancing grip, comfort, and aesthetics.

A removable front-clip design — echoing the client's original "loop" inspiration.

We didn't just copy-paste. We re-engineered it.

Step 3: Visualizing the Final Product 

Our 3D renders (pic 2 & 3) brought it to life. The complex assembly became a sleek, lightweight frame with a striking geometric silhouette — premium metal, vibrant red acetate, and a unique temple structure that twists into place.

From a flat sketch to a 3D model, we validated every angle, tolerance, and material.
